SpaceX Starship is all set to take its test flight by the end of this month or early September.
Many people dream to visit the Mars. To transform this dream of myriads of people into the reality, SpaceX has been making immense efforts. The company is working on its imperative project named Starship- a spacecraft, which will carry up to 100 human beings per trip to Mars. After enormous hard and smart efforts, the SpaceX team comes up with some good announcement. The CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk declared that, if certain conditions are fulfilled, one or both of their two orbital Starship prototypes might be all set to fly by the end of August month.
Starship is completely reusable spacecraft and the second stage having a height about nine meters and made of stainless steel. The Starship will be launched into space using a huge first stage called “Super Heavy”. Starship will be a long duration passenger and cargo-carrying spaceship. Moreover, it has been said that SpaceX will also be launching commercial payloads aboard Starship in 2022.
On August 24, Musk will disclose the updates about Starship at the SpaceX South Texas Launch Site. This launch site situated at Boca Chica Village near Brownsville, Texas will be used for the launch of SuperHeavy and Starship. Its construction task will be completed by this year.
Apart from Starship, SpaceX is also working on full-scale Raptor engines project with the intent to bring out Starship’s massive planet-hopping power. On July 25, Starhopper- the flyable prototype of Starship performed the first debut and its second flight is about to happen on Aug. 12.
Currently, SpaceX is also making two orbital-class Starship prototypes at the same time, one at Cocoa and other at Boca Chica. At present, both the prototypes have four separate pieces each of height 45 meters to 50 meters.
On the whole, SpaceX is doing extremely admirable work and will surely introduce something worthwhile to the world in the upcoming years.
