One more brand with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor!

Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor
Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 855 Plus

With the introduction of Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 855 Plus with some major performance improvements, OEM’s are flocking to get their hands on this piece of processor. And why not?! The consumer is more well-read and tech savvy than ever before and power users especially the gaming community wants a better piece of smartphone at a very, very competitive price I must say. All thanks to the highly penetrated data market and data at dirt cheap prices in India.

Now this OEM has been on a phone launching spree since its inception and its main intention is to dethrone Xiaomi’s Redmi into the blue. The company has launched phones neck to neck in tandem with Redmi if not better, bettering in prices to performance and a value for money tag. The company is none other than Oppo’s sub brand ‘Realme’.

Now the brand is trying to enter the middle segment pricing with this flagship processor in line with direct competition with Redmi’s K20 Pro. This realme’s phone would be called X2 pro right after the launch of X2 which is hardly 2 weeks old. This company is unnecessarily aggressive which some may agree to that its confusing its consumers and some may disagree and appreciate the company’ strategy.

The Realme RMX1931 features a 6.55-inch display with FHD+ resolution and will be powered by an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.84 GHz. This falls in line with the Kryo 485 Gold core frequency in the Snapdragon 855. The rest of the specs show a 1,950 mAh battery which is probably a listing error alongside Bluetooth 5.0 support and dual-band Wi-Fi. On the software front, the phone is running ColorOS 6.1. Please take all this specifications with a grain of salt. This may or may not arrive with the same specs or for a surprise may even better the listed specs.  As per some news sources “Realme phone bearing the RMX1993 model number got certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. The device will run on Android 9 Pie and comes with dual-band Wi-Fi capabilities”. We won’t speculate much on the specs but the times ahead seems quite interesting for hardcore mobile lovers.
