Looking for a wireless Bluetooth speaker to take on the road and don’t want to spend too much? Here is recently launched Bluetooth Speaker by Xiaomi with affordable price.

Few days after making announcement of Mi Mix Alpha 5G concept smartphone, Xiaomi launched a portable Bluetooth speaker called the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker in China. Recent launch was published on Chinese tech website ITHome. Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker by Xiaomi costs 199 Chinese Yuan, which approximately translates to $28 and Rs. 1,977. Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker is currently available on Xiaomi’s official stores for purchase.

Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker features a 52mm speaker driver on the inside and Bluetooth 5.0, which is the latest version of the wireless radio standard. Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker comes with fabric cover with dual microphones for noise cancellation during calls. Xiaomi claims battery life of 8 hours with inbuilt 2600mAh battery for continuous music playback and have USB Type-C port for charging the speaker.

The report published by ITHome says that the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker by Xiaomi is IP55-rated for water- and dust-resistance. Yet, the report has no clue of whether the speaker can float in the water as many recently launched outdoor water-resistant speakers possess. Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker holds Bluetooth 5.0 certification as per Bluetooth SIG website. Since then, the launch of the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker was expected in China. Although, there is still no mention about the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker in India.

Recently, Xiaomi announced a 5G concept smartphone called the Mi Mix Alpha. Xiaomi is taking smartphone screens to a wild new level with the Mi Mix Alpha. Xiaomi’s Mi Mix series has always pushed the limits of phone screens in smartphone industry. Mi Mix Alpha features a wraparound display on all its four sides leaving only a thin ceramic strip running across its back for the camera sensors. The Mix Alpha uses Samsung’s new 108-megapixel camera sensor, which was co-developed with Xiaomi.
