Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Done and Dusted For Another Year

Starting back in 1967, the consumer electronics show (CES) marked its 53rd annual run this year. CES 2020 was held in Las Vegas, Nevada starting from January 7 and ends on January 10. The spotlight of the show was stolen by giant TV manufacturers with the launch of 8K TV from Samsung, Sony, and TCL. Also, a glimpse of 4K OLED flagship from Panasonic and rollable 48 inch LG OLEDs were shown which are expected to be launched in the market in a few months. Hence, the 8K was a prime focus among the companies considering the fact that the Tokyo Olympics is set to be broadcasted in 8K this year.

In addition to this, car technology and audio also have a fine share of the limelight and so does the wireless headphones. Despite obvious trends emerging in the market, a lot of brands that took part in the CES 2020 showed a vast range of consumer electronics ranging from smart robots to high-end Hi-Fi technology.

On the other hand, Sony was the showstopper of CES 2020 as it surprised its audience with an electric concept car called the Vision-S. This car is an electric concept sedan that comes with 33 different sensors situated inside and outside of the car that will be used to intelligently analyze the road in front of a vehicle. The car also has multiple widescreen displays with 360 audios and always-on connectivity. And, as explained by Sony’s CEO “This prototype embodies our contribution to the future of mobility”.

Also, the presence of several flying cars on the show also attracted the fair share of the crowd. Hyundai displayed its model of the S-A1, which was an electrically powered personal air vehicle. This air vehicle is capable of carrying up to four passengers at a time.
