All the major smartphone brands have only managed announcements for 5G phones or have showcased their portfolio or a peek into the future for their 5G offerings. With all this said and done and with the ongoing commotion of economic slowdown, there is one unheard brand that has come out of wings from VIVO and is planning to enter the Indian crowded market with a bang. This new brand is none other than iQoo a “spinoff” brand just carved out of VIVO.
Creating subsidiary brands from mainstream brands and spinning it off once they taste commercial success has become the norm for the Chinese in India. Starting with Oppo’s Realme to becoming Realme and Xiaomi’s Poco becoming Poco. Now Vivo’s iQoo coming all on its own. The brand has not yet entered India but has officially hinted that it is planning to enter the sub-continent. There is a high possibility that the brand will get a face in Virat Kohli, but this is nothing but pure skepticism.
The company will launch a flagship phone that would cater to only the premium segment and would come to the Indian market with Qualcomm’s flagship 865 chip which would be 5G enabled. Though the company has made plans to launch a 4G enabled only phone as well. This would make it a good offering and a compelling option in the upper premium segment. There is no clarity of commercial launch of 5G in India, but the device is definitely futuristic and future proof for buyers. The company has “the best in class battery technology” that would be around ‘120W Super Flash Fast Charging’ technology. This is going to Vivo’s patented ‘Dual Engine’ fast charging technology. The Indian smartphone market is definitely going to improve the best aggressive price to performance ratio smartphones.
